Did You Know…

Where you live may determine how long you live. People living in states that scored lowest in a Commonwealth Fund report ranking on quality, insurance coverage, and cost of health care were twice as likely to die a premature death as those living in states that ranked highest. Premature death was defined as dying before the age of 75 from conditions that could have been delayed or prevented by appropriate medical care. The rate of premature death in Minnesota, Utah, Vermont, Wyoming and Alaska were half was that of low ranking states like South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
